How do I check a task?
When you receive a task from a customer, check it carefully in advance within the response time. Because the customer will receive an automatic message from you in the task chat that you will get back to them within a certain time.
Done! The task “TEST” is now stored, I will check it as soon as possible, but no later than xx. xx 2020, xx:00 and inform you about the processing progress. If you have any questions, I will contact you in this task chat. Feel free to send me more chats about the task as well. Thanks again for the task and best regards!
Check:
- Will you be able to meet the deadline? If not, ask if the deadline can be extended and specify by when you could complete the task.
- Is there enough time to complete the task? If not, give the customer your estimate and ask if the budget can be increased or offer an intermediate result after x hours.
- Do you know what scope of work the task falls into? If you are unsure, contact me
- Do you have the skills for it? If no – then check here
- Do you understand the task? The task should always describe what is to be done and how it is to be done. If no – then clarify open questions with your customer in the task chat.
- If everything is okay, you can accept the task and start working on it.
- If not all is understandable, then get in touch with the customer in the task chat within the response time. If you talk to the customer on the phone, briefly record everything again in the task chat. For example, “As we just discussed, …etc.”
Important: Each task is to be seen as an individual contract between you and the customer. You are responsible for fulfilling the task description when you accept the task. If the task description changes during processing, then record this in the task chat.
